Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
| Criteria | Weight | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Problem & Lab Alignment | 20% | How clearly does the project address the chosen lab? Does it demonstrate a strong understanding of the problem or opportunity presented by the lab? |
| Innovation & Creativity | 20% | How original, creative, or novel is the approach? Does the project introduce a fresh perspective or meaningful innovation? |
| Technical Execution | 25% | How well is the solution implemented? Judges will consider functionality, technical complexity, reliability, and the quality of the implementation. |
| User Experience & Design | 15% | How intuitive, accessible, and well-designed is the project? Does the experience effectively communicate the value of the solution? |
| Impact & Potential | 20% | How meaningful is the problem being addressed? What potential does the solution have to create real-world value or be developed further? |
Judges will independently evaluate each submission using the criteria above. Scores will then be combined to determine the final rankings.
The project with the highest overall score will be selected as the Grand Prize Winner, with additional prizes awarded to the highest-scoring projects in their respective categories or labs, where applicable.
In the event of a tie, judges may consider Problem & Lab Alignment and Technical Execution as tie-breaking criteria.
Judges' decisions are final.
